The Diary of A Young Girl by Anne Frank

I really wanted to read The Diary of A Young Girl by Anne Frank before I read The Book Thief. I was able to read this book really quickly, and I wasn't expecting that since some reviewers that I've seen have not been able to finish this book.

I loved this book. A lot. I don't know even know what took me so long to read this.
So of course, I'll start with Anne.
I felt that Anne and I were really, really similar. I was really surprised with how many things we had in common about the world, books, and life.
I think this was why I was able to enjoy her writing and why I ended up feeling so close to her.

I'm glad I had the definite copy of this book because I would have been disappointed not being able to read the more deeper thoughts of Anne Frank.

I realized that as I got closer and closer to the end of the book, I started becoming more saddened. I just didn't want the ending to happen.
I can't imagine the emotions they were experiencing as they were found, and that was something I was left to picture for myself.

My copy of this book is filled with post it notes all over it. I tabbed every line Anne wrote that I loved, and paragraphs that I felt related to myself.
If I could have anyone as a friend, it would definitely be Anne Frank.

This book received a 5 out of 5 stars from me and is now one of my favorites.
