Hi everyone! Today might be a bit difficult because I am gonna do a short review on Jellicoe Road. I say it's difficult because I really feel like this story should be experienced first hand without knowing what you're getting into.
I was always interested in reading Jellicoe Road but I never knew what it was about and it seemed like no one wanted to tell. But I'm so glad I read it without knowing. Also, I was warned that the first 100 pages would be extremely confusing. But I promise you, if you keep reading, everything will make sense. So don't give up!

Taylor Markham was abandoned by her mother when she was eleven. Now seventeen, Taylor is finally being confronted by her past. Taylor now resides in a boarding school where she is the leader of her boarding school dorm in the territory war games played by her school with the Townies (locals) and Cadets. However, her closest friend Hannah, who lives on the edge of the school grounds, goes missing. Taylor now has to deal with worrying over Hannah and Jonah Griggs, a Cadet and a boy from her past who knows a bit too much.
After reading this book, I feel like I'm going to constantly ask myself about the differences between a trip and a journey. This book was definitely a journey. I would've finished it in one sitting if I didn't have to sleep.
In Jellicoe Road there are so many mysteries and so many people that you meet. Every single scene had me wanting to know what was gonna happen next, and by the time you know and understand what everything means...wow. That's really how I felt about everything: wow.
To sum it all up, everything about this book was beautiful, tragic, and we learn the most important lesson of all: love. The writing and the stories in this book will stay with me for a long time.
