Before I begin, I just wanna say that these are my opinions of these books. They shouldn't change the way you feel about them, and they shouldn't change your decision if you want to read them or not.
So if you love any of these, that's great. =)
If you don't, maybe we can discuss them together?

Let's get this started, shall we?
Fallen by Lauren Kate
I read Fallen when it first came out, and I admit, it was a total cover buy. I mean, look at it!
However, the story was very slow, and the romance was very boring.
By the end of the book I was left feeling like I was glad it was over.
Many more books have come out in this series and I don't plan on buying any of them.

Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater
I was prepared to love this book because my weakness is wolves. Especially humans who turn into wolves.
But...why? I loved Sam, but I'm not sure I loved Grace so much. Then again, sometimes Sam was great, but other times he wasn't.
The main thing I didn't like about Shiver was the instant love between Grace and Sam.
And I did my best to ignore it.
MY BEST.
I even tried reading Linger, which is the second book in the series.
But after about 100 pages in, I couldn't do it anymore.

Hush, Hush By Becca Fitzpatrick
Oh boy. Where do I begin with Hush, Hush?
If you really wanna know how terrible this book was I will leave a link here.
I will just say that this book reminded me so much of Twilight.
The characters were bad.
What was that relationship between Nora and Patch?
I don't understand the weird, random chemistry that they 'supposedly' had.
How can this story go on with more books?

Altered by Jennifer Rush
I also did a review on this book that you can find here.
This book was just a bunch abs, girl wanting boy, mysterious bad boy, and abs.
Just like Hush, Hush, I had no idea how there was chemistry between the two main characters.
It was never there yet we are made to believe that it was there the whole time.
I was just surprised that this book had so many high ratings.

Marked by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast
I read the first two books in this series when I was in high school.
Yes, I did what everyone else did. I was trying to find another vampire series to read after reading Twilight.
But Marked was so terrible. It was really, really bad.
I remember it was a lot of making out scenes and girls always touching guys shticks.
I was so unhappy with this series that I sold my copies of these books.

To sum it all up, sometimes I feel like-not all, but most of these Young Adult books always consist of poor, weak, shy girls who unexpectedly get these handsome, dark and mysterious, 6 pack ab guys.
Fall in love, within a few days, live happily ever after, the end.

I notice that I'll be reading books, such as the ones above, and I start wondering:
When are they gonna get to the point of the story?
Why can't the guy be smart, average, and real?
Why can't the girls be brave, not weak, and be the hero's of their own story?
But maybe it's just me.
I'm just tired of seeing the same plot and seeing girls shown as weak and needing a guy to rescue them.
I don't believe that you need a super handsome guy to come in and save you and change your life for the better. You just need you.
You don't need a guy to depend on, right?

Please don't forget to follow if you like, and I'll see you later!
