"Who would have guessed that four minutes could change everything?
Today should be one of the worst days of seventeen-year-old Hadley Sullivan's life. Having missed her flight, she's stuck at JFK airport and late to her father's second wedding, which is taking place in London and involves a soon-to-be stepmother Hadley's never even met. Then she meets the perfect boy in the airport's cramped waiting area. His name is Oliver, he's British, and he's sitting in her row.
Quirks of timing play out in this romantic and cinematic novel about family connections, second chances, and first loves. Set over a twenty-four-hour-period, Hadley and Oliver's story will make you believe that true love finds you when you're least expecting it."

Happy Valentine's Day!
Hadley is flying to London for her father's wedding but ends up missing the flight by four minutes and has to take the next one. Attending this wedding is the last thing Hadley wants to do because she's still upset that her father left her mother for someone else. Not to mention that she hasn't even met this woman. But Hadley has to go because her mother has forced her to, claiming that she'll regret it if she doesn't.
Then Hadley meets Oliver. A cute, funny British guy who helps her with her luggage. They find out that they're on the same flight and row on the plane and end up in conversations and long talks about everything.
The moments with Hadley and Oliver on the plane are very:

It's soooo cute!
During the book we get to learn a lot about Hadley and what's been going on in her life. Such as the way she feels about father and the way he left, and also about how she feels hurt for her mother.
We learn a bit about Oliver and his life at home in London. Why he left and most importantly, his relationship with his father. The tough times he had with his father, yet the times when he was kind.
Then the plane ride is over, and this is where everything begins. After a kiss that feels like farewell, Hadley and Oliver lose each other in the crowd. At this point I felt like:

WHY?
However, as the day goes on, a lot of shocking and surprising events happen. The more I read about Hadley and her family situations, the more I understood where she was coming from. I felt a lot more proud of her when she started to accept it after she realized a lot about her dad, Charlotte, and even herself.
Finally, Hadley realizes where to find Oliver but also discovers something very saddening.
This book takes over the course of 24 hours. It shows how four minutes can change everything and how one day can change your life. It was really cute and quick to read.
I gave The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight
4 out 5 stars.
