September Wrap-Up!

First, I know, I know. I've been gone for way too long. My excuse this time? None. I'm lazy.

I read a total of 6 books this month, which is pretty good since all month I was in a terrible reading slump.

Don't you just hate when that happens?

I read the entire Chemical Garden trilogy by Lauren De Stefano.

First, Wither.
I really enjoyed the first book. I loved the characters, the plot, and the world. Some parts had me questioning things but I really enjoyed it.
I gave it a 4 out 5 stars.

Fever.
This one disappointed me. With the way the story was going, I was hoping for the characters to build and make me care for them more. However, in this book they did not. I was frustrated the whole time and just wanted it to be over.
I gave Fever a 3 out 5 stars.

Sever.
I almost didn't read this because of Fever, but I'm glad I did. This book definitely gave me closure, but not the closure I wanted. I still didn't believe the "supposedly relationship" between two characters and the ending...well, more like close to the ending, something happens. Why??!!
I cried. I cried, okay? I was not expecting that. At all. And all I can ask is WHY?
I gave Sever a 4 out of 5 stars.

The next book I read was Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson.
I had high expectations for this book. I love Peter Pan, and I love re-tellings. I heard nothing but amazing things about this book and how it changes you.
This did not happen for me. I know the reason I feel this way is because I expected this book to be the greatest book ever.
If I hadn't had such high expectations about Tiger lily, I know I would have enjoyed the story.
I still liked it, and it definitely made me like Tiger Lily a lot more.
I gave 3 out of 5 stars.

Because I Am Furniture by Thalia Chaltas.
I decided to pick up this book because it's written in verse, much like Ellen Hopkins. Whose books that I have read so far, I loved.
I liked this book, but didn't love it.
The story was very short, and you never really got to know any characters.
This was a fast read though, so I enjoyed it.
I gave it a 3 out 5 stars.

After that I read Green Witch by Alice Hoffman.
This is the second and final book in the Green Angel? duology.
I read Green Angel years ago and never knew that Alice Hoffman wrote a sequel.
WHERE HAVE I BEEN?!
I love Green Angel. It was heartbreaking and beautiful.
For years it has still left me with questions and thoughts that I thought would never be answered.
Then I saw this book in my library, right next to the first book.
You can guess. I freaked. I couldn't believe it.
Green Witch was an amazing sequel. While the first book dealt with heartbreak and loss, this one dealt with healing and love.
I can't believe it took me so long to discover this. I have all my questions answered now, and the writing in this book is just as beautiful as the first one.
If you have not read Green Angel and Green Witch, I highly recommend you do!
I gave Green Witch a 5 out 5 stars.

Those were all the books I read in September. But since I'm here, I'll let you guys see what I've finished in October.

That being Impulse by Ellen Hopkins.
I expected to love this book more than I loved the Crank trilogy.
But I didn't.
I really liked Impulse, but I just had a few issues with it.
I gave it a 3 out 5 stars.
But I am excited to read Ellen Hopkins new book!

So sorry for not posting, but I'll try harder from now on!
Thanks for reading and don't forget to follow!

Bye!
