BookOutlet 2018 Haul!~

Hey everyone! As promised, here is my BookOutlet Haul!

Enjoy!

I got 9 books in this order so let's begin!

First I got:

The Ancient Magus Bride by Kore Yamazaki.

I actually bought 2 of these but I gave the other one to my sister who is obsessed with the anime.

I plan to read the manga first before watching the anime.

The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett, Illustrated by Yuu Shima.

I know, I know. Why do I need another copy of my favorite classic?

Look at it!

The illustrations are so beautiful I had to have it!

 The Girl Who Fell by S.M. Parker.

I bought this book because I saw someone on YouTube recommend it.

So hopefully it's good!

 

Bambi and Bambi's Children by Felix Salter.

When I saw these books, I knew I had to have them.

I love the film Bambi and I was so excited to know that I would be able to read them!

The Selection Coloring Book by Kiera Cass.

I needed this to add to my collection.

Beauty and the Beast Cinestory Comic.

Again, another book I needed to add to my overgrowing collection.

Tower of Dawn by Sarah J, Maas.

This book was really cheap and I needed it for my Throne Of Glass collection.

And finally we have

Girls Made of Snow and Glass by Melissa Bashardoust.

Another book that was recommended.

Fingers crossed that this one is good!

October Book Photo Challenge Day 31!

October 31: What I've Read This Month

I can't believe how quickly October went by.

But now I will show you what I read for this month.

I read a total of 8 books.

First book is:

 Seven Tears Into The Sea by Terri Farley.

 I honestly expected more from this book. And the ending was ughhhh. Can I use that word?

It got a 2 out 5 stars.

Beating Heart by A.M. Jenkins.

I liked the poetic parts of this book, but that was pretty much all I liked.

It got a 3 out 5 stars.

Sleepless by Cyn Balog.

I liked this book, and it made me want to know what was gonna happen next.

It got a 3 out 5 stars.

 Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling.

This book doesn't even need an explanation. It's amazing, and it always will be.

It got a 5 out 5 stars.

Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets by J.K. Rowling.

I wasn't ready to leave this world yet.

This one was so good and everyone already knows that.

It got a 5 out 5 stars.

 The Selection by Kiera Cass.

I loved this book. One of my previous posts was on this book, so you can check it out if you wanna know my thoughts about it.

It got a 5 out of 5 stars.

The Prince by Kiera Cass.

I love Prince Maxon, and I'm so glad that I got to see from his point-of-view. I just wish that it was longer. =(

It got a 4 out 5 stars.

The Selection by Kiera Cass

    But for America Singer, being Selected is a nightmare. It means turning her back on her secret love with Aspen, who is a caste below her, and leaving her home to enter a fierce competition for a crown she doesn't want.
   Then America meets Prince Maxon. Gradually, she begins to realize that the life she's always dreamed of may not compare to a future she never imagined."

I began reading The Selection thinking that it would be an okay book. I had seen the reviews but the book still interested me and that is why I chose to buy it.

Everyone's opinions are different. Some people will love a book, and I won't like it as much. And vice versa. So quite a few people disliked this book and quite a few people loved this book. I however loved it. It kept surprising me and there were moments when I couldn't put it down.

The story is about America Singer who enters the Selection to win the heart of Prince Maxon, however, America is still in love with Aspen.

In The Selection, you are divided by a caste number. 10 being extremely bad and 1 being royalty. It's odd, but not difficult to understand. There's a lot of rules in this world too. One example being that you cannot marry someone below your caste number. This rule causes a problem for the main character.

So as you can probably guess, there are teams for the readers. Yep. 

Team Maxon or Team Aspen.

I was asked this question: What team am I on?

I like Aspen, but I'm still very unsure of him. Maybe it was his mood swings, I don't know. Maybe it's because he likes to make out a lot. I still don't know. But I like him, and that's all.

 Prince Maxon was just okay at first. As the story progressed with Prince Maxon and America, I began to like him a lot more. I would even feel upset when he went on dates with the other Selected girls. Is that weird?

So as of right now, I am not on a team. I will be reading the The Prince novella right after this, so who knows what that will do to me.

I loved all of the characters, from America's family, to the girls from the Selected. Well, some of them.

I think that to be able to enjoy this book, you can't read it and start judging every little thing. It's just a quick and fun read, and that was how I viewed it.

Also, this book does remind me a lot of the television show, The Bachelor, but with more of a twist.

This book was amazing and I'm already recommending it to people.

This book received a 5 out of 5 stars.
